World Class Teaching Program

The Road to National Board Certification Starts Here

The MS World-Class Teaching Program was established in 1996 to guide and support teachers as they embark upon the National Board Certification process.  The program is based on the premise of the National Writing Project that “the best teacher of a teacher is another teacher.”  This support process is proven to increase teachers’ chances of attaining National Board Certification.

The World Class Teaching Program at USM has been fortunate to work with two excellent funders, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation have partnered with the World Class Teaching Program to provide two excellent opportunities for local students and teachers.
