Constance Bailey

Instructor of English, Gulf Coast

Constance Bailey is an Instructor at the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach. Originally from Natchez, MS, she is completing her PhD with an emphasis in African Diaspora Literature at the University of Missouri. She completed her B.A. in English from Alcorn State University and an M.A. in English with an emphasis in Folklore and Oral Tradition from the University of Missouri. Her research interests include African American comedy & humor, African American religion & spirituality, and black science fiction/Afro futurists texts. She loves the movies, board/card games, and all things sarcastic, cynical, ironic, and otherwise funny.
