Director of Composition, Assistant Professor of English
Joyce Olewski Inman is an assistant professor and director of composition. Her research interests include legal discourse analysis, basic writing pedagogies, social and cognitive linguistics in literacy politics, and the ways space and locale can influence writers and their texts. She has published in College English, WPA, and the Basic Writing eJournal. Current projects include exploring the ways we might rethink basic writing via a queer theory lens, as well as a book-length study examining how a prominent desegregation case in higher education continues to influence local perceptions of basic writing programming and students.
