Associate Professor of English
Dr. Linda Pierce Allen is an associate professor of English at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she specializes in multiethnic American and World literatures; Filipina-American studies; critical race theory; postcolonial literature and theory; feminist theory and women studies; critical pedagogy; academic and community service-learning; and professional development training. Her research appears in publications such as: Pinay Power: Peminist Critical Theory; Whiteness: Feminist Philosophical Reflections; Ethnic Heritage in Mississippi: The Twentieth Century; Mothering in East Asian Communities: Politics and Practices, and the forthcoming collection Growing Up Asian American in Children's Literature. She is currently working on her book-length manuscript, Intersecting Others: Multiethnic Interpretations of Literary History.
