Dr. Siyuan Song

Assistant Professor


Dr. Song has conducted extensive research in the construction industry. Her current research focuses on BIM with an emphasis in automatically calculating, analyzing and visualizing construction equipment cycles. She strives to implement innovative research methods to create solutions in an attempt to manage productivity and solve safety problems within BIM in the construction industry. Her work in remote sensing and location tracking enable her to perform cross-disciplinary research with industrial sectors outside of construction engineering.

Dr. Song is also experienced in teaching construction engineering topics including Construction Safety and Building Information Modeling. Her efforts to integrate technology and innovation into engineering research provides motivation and desire for student learning.
