Student Support Services - From the Director

Page Content

Greetings and Welcome.

This site has been designed to provide you with all the information you may need to become familiar with the Student Support Services program. We hope it will answer most of your questions about who we are and what we do.

Our program is a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, Federal TRiO Programs. The mission of Student Support Services is to help students remain in school, successfully complete a course of study, and graduate with a baccalaureate degree. Student Support Services strives to fulfill its mission of retention and graduation by providing a variety of services to eligible students. Student Support Services collaborates closely with The Center for Student Success, who serves as an advocate for our students, by assisting in our academic workshop series, campus accessibility, accountability, and an opportunity to connect to the University community.

Student Support Services at Southern Miss stands ready to serve you with the highest level of interest, commitment, and support. We take pride in the professionalism and caring attitudes of the entire staff. We invite you to review this website and then visit our offices to see if you are eligible to participate in the program. We welcome you and hope we are able to serve.

Best wishes on all your endeavors at Southern Miss.

Adina Narcisse Green, Ph.D.
