Graduate Assistant of the Year Award

Each year, the Graduate School recognizes an exemplary graduate assistant with the Graduate Assistant of the Year Award. This award recognizes the graduate assistant for his or her character, academic achievements, as well as their service and outstanding contributions to the mission of the University through teaching and research. The Graduate School announces the winner each year at the Susan A. Siltanen Graduate Student Research Symposium luncheon.



  • Must be a currently enrolled graduate assistant
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of nine semester hours of graduate coursework
  • Must be nominated by his or her department chair or director
