The Gulf Park Campus turns PINK each October to raise awareness and join the American Cancer Society’s yearly efforts in “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.”

This October 18, the Pink Golden Eagles will once again gather at the Biloxi Town Green to do their part to fight breast cancer. Registration begins at 8 a.m. that morning with the walk kicking off at 9 a.m. The team is scheduled to meet by the Shoe Fly (tree with wooden decking toward the northeast corner of the square).

Numerous activities are taking place throughout September and October in preparation for the big walk:

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event to fight breast cancer. It is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness and fund the fight to end the disease. It’s a way to raise money to help the ACS continue to do the most for people facing breast cancer, providing free information and services when and where they need it. It’s a journey to end breast cancer that starts with a single step.
