The office has information about scholarships, grants, loans, and veterans’ educational benefits. The office operates under the auspices of the federal, state, and institutional regulations for the respective programs.

New for 2017-2018
The 2017-2018 FAFSA will be available starting October 1, 2016.  It will utilize the Prior-Prior Year tax information. Learn how this will help students

NEW Office of Undergraduate Scholarships:
Southern Miss created a new Office of Undergraduate Scolarship to provide a hub for scholarship information and support prospective and current undergraduate students.  You can visit them here.

Loan Processing
If you have never received a Federal Direct Stafford Loan but plan on doing so for the 2015-2016 school year, you must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and a Master Promissory Note online at www.studentloans.gov.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid for 2017-2018 is available online beginning October 1, 2016.


Apply for Foundation Scholarships for 2017-2018.  The deadline to apply is February 15, 2017.  You may apply online at www.usmfoundation.com/go.

 

Apply for 2017-2018 scholarships from the State of Mississippi.  Several scholarships have a March 31, 2017 deadline. Deadline for MTAG and MESG is September 15, 2017.
