A change, learning or development process incorporating methods that help individuals and teams take more effective actuations and enhance performance.

      • Define coaching and distinguish from teaching or instructing.
      • Explore effective coaching skills and behaviors through various tools.
      • Apply three types of coaching models: appreciation, growth and constructive.

3. Creating the Learning Environment (Training Delivery):

 

The learning environment is key to the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and attitudes. It incorporates learning theories and techniques as well as the physical and psychological components of the learning event.

      • Model creative training techniques that impact participant learning.
      • Design learning activities that address the needs of multiple learning styles.
      • Practice facilitator competencies.

4. Leadership Development:

 

Leadership is a set of critical skills that separate today’s effective leaders from yesterday’s ineffective managers. The purpose of the session is to help leaders and emerging leaders develop critical skills to increase their effectiveness.

      • Create a leadership vision.
      • Shift your paradigm from manager to leader.
      • Explore the qualities that separate great leaders from average leaders.

5. Instructional Design (Learning Materials):

 

 

A systematic approach for designing, creating and developing learning that will result in maximizing job performance.

      • Describe the ADDIE Instructional Design Model.
      • Discuss strategies that engage learners and promote collaborative learning.
      • Identify and construct elements of high impact training materials.

6. Performance Improvement:

 

A results-based, systematic process used to identify performance problems, analyze root causes, and select workplace solutions to improve performance in an organization.

 

Course Objectives

      • Describe how to use performance analysis to identify an organizational issue or need.
      • Apply models/tools to analyze performance.
      • Determine "best fit" performance interventions to be used for specific performance issues.
