MS Center for Clinical and Translational Research


The Mississippi Center for Clinical and Translational Research (MCCTR) seeks to improve the health of Mississippians by providing the infrastructure needed to support obesity-related research across its three partner institutions, the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Tougaloo College, and The University of Southern Mississippi.  

The University of Southern Mississippi manages the Community-Engaged Research Core (CEnR) of the MCCTR. Kathy Yadrick, PhD, RD, associate dean in the College of Health, is USM’s PI for the MCCTR. She can be reached at

Funded by the NIH National Institute of General Medicine Sciences, the MCCTR extends professional development opportunities to USM faculty engaged in or interested in developing obesity research.
