XFINITY On Campus

Comcast launched XFINITY On Campus (XOC) to The University of Southern Mississippi in the fall of 2016, enabling students who live on the Hattiesburg campus to watch live TV and On Demand cable services not only from the TV in their room, but also from their laptops, tablets and smartphones. The cable service is included with room and board for students living in all of the residence halls. Southern Miss is the first university in Mississippi to offer XOC to students.

The service provides approximately 90 live cable channels including every major broadcast network. XOC also includes access to thousands of current season TV shows and hit movies via XFINITY On Demand.

XFINITY Cable TV
Students can watch the channel line-up by connecting their personal TV directly to the co-axial cable jack in their room. NOTE: The TV must be able to receive a digital signal in order to view the XOC cable programming provided by Housing and Residence Life. In addition, the resident will need to bring the "thread" or "screw on" type cable wire with them to connect to the cable outlet in their room. iTech has advised that the "push on" type connecting cables do not always work.
