SOARHR, SOAR and SOARFIN Downtime Scheduled for April 16
SOARHR will be down for maintenance on Saturday, April 16, from 2 a.m.-midnight. SOAR and SOARFIN will down for maintenance on Saturday, April 16, from 2 a.m. - 2 p.m. Users will not be able to log into these systems during the scheduled downtime.

Important Message Regarding Student Email Change
All students are advised to begin using their new Office 365 email account (@usm.edu) now by following these directions on how to forward your EagleApps email to your Office 365 account.
On Aug. 24, your primary email address will be updated in SOAR to your @usm.edu address, which is a part of Microsoft Office 365. At that time, the EagleApps account (@eagles.usm.edu) will be discontinued as the primary contact for university communications.

Scheduled Phone Outage March 14
There will be a scheduled phone outage on Monday, March 14, from 9-10 p.m. This planned outage will cause loss of analog service to the following buildings:
Buildings that have been converted to VoIP will only lose service to legacy devices such as FAX, elevator phones, emergency phones and Code Blue phones during the outage.

Microsoft Office 365 for Students
The university is excited to announce that Microsoft Office 365 is now available for all students at Southern Miss. This service provides students with a 50GB mailbox and 1TB file storage on OneDrive. In addition to having access to web versions, students will be able to download the latest Microsoft Office client application on up to five devices (PC, Mac, and/or mobile devices - Android or iOS). Beginning fall semester 2016, the new student Microsoft 365 (email@example.com(link sends e-mail)) email account will become the official university account, and at that time the EagleApps account (@eagles.usm.edu) will be discontinued as the primary contact for university communications. It is strongly recommended that all students begin to use the Office 365 email account (@usm.edu) now by following these directions on forwarding your EagleApps email to your Office 365 account.

New Process to Enter iTech Work Orders
In an effort to improve customer service and efficiency, a new iTech work order system will be implemented on Monday Feb. 29. The system offers a self-service web portal that provides visibility to your work orders as well as the ability to enter Incidents (something is not working) and service requests (new technology requested). Instructions are available here.
Please use this new self-service portal for all of your technology needs, including but not limited to Help Desk assistance, technology purchases, telephone requests, project requests, etc.
