Eagle Backup User Guide

inSync is a program that will automatically backup the files on your university-owned computer to the USM network while your computer is turned on and has an internet connection.

A backup is performed every four hours and backups are retained for 30 days.

Once installed on your computer, an icon will appear on your desktop and task bar.

From the task bar, you may see a Backup completed bubble for a couple of seconds.

If you have folders in other locations on your computer that you would like backed up, you can select Add button from the Summary section of the program.

This will open a box allowing you to choose the folder to add to backups.

Once the file is found, you can select Hamburger icon followed by Restore.

You can then select where and how you want to restore the file.

We recommended selecting Restore to Desktop so it is easy to find the file you restored.

A folder will be created on your desktop with today's date. Your restored files will be inside this newly created folder.

If you choose Original Location the message will appear about overwriting existing file/s as shown below. Choose either Yes or No.
