Child and Family Studies Student Organization 

The purposes of this organization are as follows: 1. To serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well-being of all children and families in South Mississippi, with special emphasis on developmental and education services and resources. 2. To partner with the College of Education and Psychology Student Advisement and Support Center to offer academic support department wide. 3. To compile and disseminate information regarding children and families to appropriate stakeholders based on current research. 4. To foster the growth and development of the membership in their work with,and on behalf of children and families. This will be accomplished by offering members opportunities to 1) meet with leaders in the community, 2) work directly with families and children, 3) exchange ideas with other students, and 4) develop child and family advocacy skills.

Education Majors Student Association 

The Education Majors Student Association is an organization that provides quality experiences for Education Majors. Whether it is a student panel, a principal panel, or a night of laser tag, there is always an opportunity within the organization to have dun, network, and build lasting relationships within our major.

Library and Information Science Student Association

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Library and Information Science Student Association (LISSA), an official ALA student group, strives to support and contribute to the professional development and education of library and information science students, both graduate and undergraduate, at the USM School of Library and Information Science (SLIS). LISSA works to provide SLIS students with an active channel of communication and representation with the administration and faculty, and encourages professional contacts within the field of librarianship. Membership is open to all USM SLIS students.

Physical Education Majors Club 

Group of physical education, sport coaching, and grad students. Our goal is to participate in community service as well as attend conferences that will help students better their major. We also hold fundraisers to make sure that all participants in the club have the chance to attend all the conferences we offer.

Psi Chi 

Psi Chi is a psychology honors organization that strives for excellence among its members as well as other students in the psychology department. Requirements must be met in order to obtain membership within Psi Chi. Our goal is to bring light to psychological ideas and strengthen student's knowledge through all aspects of psychology. The organization also offers scholarships for undergraduates as well as graduate students, research grants and participation, and a way to have your voice heard. Psi Chi also participates in on campus community service as well as off campus participation. The mission for Psi Chi is to leave a long lasting impact for the campus and students.

The Psychology club is a club that helps not only psych majors but all other majors have opportunities outside of the classroom including volunteering and resume builders.

Southern Miss Student Archivists 

The purpose of SMSA is:

To acquaint members with the objectives, ethics, activities, and publications of the archival profession and the Society of American Archivists (SAA).

To provide opportunities for members to discuss archival issues and the archival profession, interact with professional archivists, and engage in professional activities.

To promote collaboration and communication with other student groups within The University of Southern Mississippi and with other organizations such as the Society of Mississippi Archivists (SMA) in order to develop the mutual interests of the library and archival professions.

To promote archival interests within the university.
