Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Campus Civitan

Campus Civitan is a collegiate volunteer service organization. Our members will serve our campus and local communities while bridging the gap of cultural diversity among the citizens of our world. Through exercising a healthy disregard for the impossible, our members' efforts will be limited only by how much we believe we can do.

House of Hope Project Partners

The mission of House of Hope Project is to exist to bridge the gap of so many answering the call to care for orphans around the world. We desire to help fund, build, and raise support for those dedicating it all to reclaiming the lives of children who have been deemed unworthy. House of Hope raises funds for needs both locally and internationally. Some of their current projects include stuffing backpacks for local students and raising funds to help build a home in Lesotho, Africa. House of Hope Project Partners exists as partners to this nonprofit to raise support and awareness, but also want to get involved in some local projects here in Hattiesburg.

Southern Students About Service

SSAS seeks to create an environment in which all students, undergraduate or graduate, can interact socially and can be of maximum service to the University of Southern Mississippi and the local state and national communities. The students must be willing to support those in recovery or be in recovery themselves.

Sustainability Advocates

We are a group that strives to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles at USM. We try to educate students on what choices and options are available throughout their lives so that they can protect our environment.
