Members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The University of Southern Mississippi (OLLI) are active adults who share a love of learning. Members enjoy innovative and enriching programs in an inclusive environment with others who share their interests. Many members are retired, but it is not a requirement to join, nor do you need to be a graduate or otherwise affiliated with Southern Miss. OLLI is for all people of all educational backgrounds and our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, vocations, and connections to local community.
OLLI is one of 119 such institutes across the country and is the only lifelong learning institute supported by The Bernard Osher Foundation in Mississippi. We are member-led and member-driven. Our advisory board and standing committees enable members to participate fully in the organization and direction of the institute. Officers are elected to serve one year. The vice president is the president-elect and the associate secretary is the secretary-elect.
