Video Conferencing & Classroom Technologies

Video Conferencing Rooms

Building 1022

  • Room 112 (IVN Classroom)

The Marine Science department currently has one IVN Polycom classroom for video conferencing needs.  This classroom includes a document camera and laptop connectivity for the remote site.  This technology supports classroom-to-classroom communication for remote sites.  

  • Room 101 (Large Classroom)

A Polycom setup is located here that provides similar functionality as the IVN classroom, but without the use of a document camera. 

Building 1020

  • Room 118 (Chair's Conference Room)

The Marine Science department also has a smaller Polycom setup in the conference room in building 1020 (Room 118) that just provides the same as above but without the use of a document camera or laptop connectivity.

Portable Video Conferencing Equipment

A Cisco TelePresence USB Camera with built-in microphone is available for use. This device supports audio visual communication to/from any computer that is connected to the USM network.

Chrissy LeGaux should be consulted regarding setup and usage.

  

Classroom Technologies

Building 1020

  • Room 166 (Small Classroom)

Ceiling mounted projector that can be accessed through AirMedia wireless connection. Instructions for connecting laptop computers to the projector are here:

Building 1022

  • Room 101 (Large Classroom)

Classroom computer and ceiling mounted projector. Projector is accessible through VGA and HDMI cables. Instructions for connecting laptop computers to the projector are here:

  • Room 112 (IVN Room)

Ceiling mounted projector that can be accessed through VGA cable or via AirMedia wireless connection. Instructions for connecting laptop computers to the projector are here:

Building 1029

  • Room 117 (Small Classroom)

Classroom computer and ceiling mounted projector. Projector is accessible through VGA cable. Instructions for connecting laptop computers to the projector are here:
