First Presbyterian Church
Southern Miss Carillon Handbell Choir was founded in 1985 by Dr. Larry D. Smith, Professor of Music at The University of Southern Mississippi. In the 27 years of concerts Carillon has performed in 25 states of the United States of America and 14 foreign countries or republics. They have performed the opening concert for the National Convention of the Handbell Musicians of America on four different occasions. Their concert this spring will consist of several beautiful hymn arrangements and other exciting original compositions for handbells.
In July, 2012 Carillon will perform a concert tour of France. They will play in the Chartes Cathedral in Chartes, France; in the Church of St. Pierre in Arromanches on the Normandy coast; and at the American Church in Paris, France. Carillon invites you to come to their spring concert on April 22, 2012 and also to travel with us to France this summer. For further information regarding the concert or the France Tour contact, contact Dr. Larry D. Smith.
