◼︎◼︎◼︎ When is Spring Family Day?

Spring Family Day is Saturday, March 7, 2020. The tailgate is from 12-1:30 p.m. on the Reed Green Coliseum Lawn prior to the USM baseball and softball games. USM Softball will play a double header vs. Jacksonville State at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and USM Baseball will face University of Arkansas, Little Rock at 2 p.m. Spring Family Day is a wonderful time to see your student, visit campus and get to experience life as a Golden Eagle!

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ How do I register for Spring Family Day?

Click here to visit the Spring Family Day registration page. The deadline to register is Friday, February 29. Please note that only registered guests may attend the Saturday tailgate.

Additionally, you may purchase tickets to attend either the USM Softball double header vs. Jacksonville State at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., or USM Baseball vs. Little Rock at 2 p.m.  Click here to purchase discounted baseball or softball game tickets made available for Spring Family Day.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ What is the cost for Parent and Family Weekend?

Tailgate tickets are $15 per guest and include admission to the tailgate event, meal and gift. Tailgate tickets are $10 for children ages 3-12, and include admission to the tailgate event and meal. Children ages 0-2 will be admitted to the tailgate and baseball/softball game for free.

With a valid student ID, current Southern Miss students receive complimentary admission to the tailgate and baseball/softball game. Student seating is located in the general admission section. If you would like your student to sit in the chairback seats, you will need to purchase an additional game ticket for them.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ Can I bring my younger children and siblings?

Children ages 3-12 will need to register for the Spring Family Day tailgate event, and will require a softball/baseball ticket to attend the game. Tailgate tickets are $10 for children ages 3-12, and include admission to the tailgate event and meal. Child’s tickets do not include a Spring Family Day gift. ◼︎◼︎◼︎ Are refunds available?

No, Spring Family Day payment is nonrefundable.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ What forms of payment are accepted?

Registration is online only. Cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Unfortunately, Discover cards are not accepted.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ Where do I park on campus? 

Pete Taylor Park parking lot and Sports Field parking lot on Fourth Street are reserved for baseball season ticket holders. Parking at the Southern Miss Softball Complex is based on a first come, first served basis. All other parking lots on campus are open parking.

  

◼︎◼︎◼︎ How does my USM student get a ticket for either the baseball or softball game?

Current Southern Miss students receive complimentary admission to the baseball/softball game. Student seating is located in the general admission section. If you would like your student to sit in the chairback seats, you will need to purchase an additional game ticket for them. 

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ Am I able to take personal items into the baseball stadium or softball complex?

Southern Miss Athletics abides by a clear bag policy. Only one clear plastic bag no larger than 12x6x12 inches, or a one-gallon, resealable clear plastic storage bag, per person will be admitted into athletic venues. Fans will also be allowed a small clutch purse not to exceed 4.5x6.5 inches.

Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. No other bags will be allowed inside athletic venues. All items, including clear bags and clutch purses, are subject to search.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ When and where is check-in?

Check-in for Spring Family Day will be on the Reed Green Coliseum Lawn from 12 – 1PM on Saturday, March 7. While the event ends at 1:30PM, check-in will close at 1PM.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ Can we register on-site? 

No, this event is pre-registration only. The registration deadline is Friday, February 29.

  

◼︎◼︎◼︎ Are disability accommodations available?

All events during Spring Family Day are ADA accessible, including Pete Taylor Park baseball stadium and the Southern Miss Softball Complex.

 

◼︎◼︎◼︎ I missed the deadline to register for the Spring Family Day Tailgate. What can I do?

If you miss the deadline to register for the Spring Family Day Tailgate, we still encourage you to visit your student, and enjoy either the USM Softball vs. Jacksonville State double header at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., or USM Baseball vs. Little Rock at 2 p.m. Click here to purchase discounted baseball or softball game tickets made available for Spring Family Day. However, no late registrations will be accepted for the tailgate.
