Southern Miss Homecoming Court, Mr. and Miss Southern Miss Elections Sept. 14

Elections will be held Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The University of Southern Mississippi to elect a queen and her court for Southern Miss' Centennial Celebration Homecoming, as well as Mr. and Miss Southern Miss.  The elections are coordinated by the Student Government Association (SGA).

Students with proper identification can vote at polling stations located at the lobby of the Liberal Arts Building; the courtyard of Century Park; the Thad Cochran Center; and at the First Year Experience office in Bolton Hall. If necessary, a runoff will be held Thursday, Sept. Sept. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students who are unable to vote Sept. 14 can vote by absentee ballot Monday, Sept. 13 at the Dean of Students Office, located on the second floor of the R.C. Cook University Union, room 231.

Winners of the election will be introduced at halftime of the Golden Eagles' football game against longtime rival and Conference USA foe East Carolina University Saturday, Oct. 9 at M.M. Roberts Stadium, β€œThe Rock.” Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The theme for this year's homecoming is β€œ100 Years to the Top! Southern Spirit Never Stops!”
