Wed, 10/27/2010 - 10:42am | By: Charmaine Williams Schmermund

The School of Social Work at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will conduct a research study Saturday, Oct. 30 involving randomly selected residences south of Interstate 10 in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties. The data collected will be used for a research study concerning the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

The researchers, who will begin collecting data at 9 a.m., can be identified by gold T-shirts with the Southern Miss logo on the front pocket and ‘researcher' in red on the front of the shirt. If weather imposes a threat to researchers conducting the study, the data collection will be rescheduled for Nov. 6.
