DuBard School to Conduct DuBard Association Method Basic Course

The DuBard School for Language Disorders at The University of Southern Mississippi will conduct the renowned DuBard Association Method Basic Course® June 6-10 on the Hattiesburg campus.

Instruction times are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The course is approved for four continuing education units (CEUs) for educators and speech-language pathologists. The course can be taken for three graduate hours of academic credit as well.

The course will give kindergarten through second grade general and special education teachers, reading specialists and speech-language pathologists an opportunity to learn multisensory teaching strategies to improve the language and reading skills of their students.

The information and strategies learned will benefit children who may have severe oral and written language disorders and/or hearing loss, severe speech disorders, learning disabilities, dyslexia and Autism spectrum disorders, as well as typically developing children in kindergarten through second grade.

The course topics will include the principles of the DuBard Association Method®, the Northampton phonetic symbol system, oral and written language skill development and incorporating the DuBard Association Method® into the school curriculum.

The DuBard School will also be offering the DuBard Association Method® Practicum June 6-30 and the DuBard Association Method® Seminar June 20-25.
