Several professional and collegiate sports organizations and related representatives from around the country convened in Atlanta recently for the Executive Forward Forum on Sports/Venue Security hosted by e-VERIFILE.com in partnership with The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) at The University of Southern Mississippi.

During the forum security professionals brainstormed an idea promoted by NCS4 to establish a national clearinghouse for organizations, contractors, event directors, venue managers and other officials responsible for safety and security at sporting and special events.

“The national clearinghouse represents a new model to train and credential sport venue security personnel workforce,” said Dr. Lou Marciani, NCS4 director. “Forums such as this provide an invaluable opportunity to gather information and best strategies for implementing such a critical clearinghouse.”

The Sports/Venue Security forum is the latest conference organized by e-VERIFILE as part of its Executive Forward Forum (EF2) series. The EF2 program seeks to unite innovative leaders to identify trends and exchange ideas on the technological advances that can impact their success.

“There is a lot of momentum in this industry for creating standards that determine who should have access for work inside of a stadium on game day,” said Devon Wijesinghe, e-VERIFILE chief strategy officer and project lead for the EF2 initiative. “e-VERIFILE will continue to host these forums to provide the stakeholders the opportunity to help create these standards.”
