PubCampMS 2011 to be Held July 30 at R.C. Cook Union

A social media conference, PubCampMS, will be held Saturday, July 30 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the R.C. Cook University Union on The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg campus.

This conference will focus on both the foundations of public media and the uses of social media for students, faculty and staff at Southern Miss. Last year's PubCamp was held at the offices of Mississippi Public Broadcasting and featured sessions such as Social Media and Disaster Response, Social Media and Business, Teaching Kids Social Media and Libraries Creating Context.

This event is sponsored by iTech, the School of Mass Communication and Journalism, the Office of University Communications and the Learning Enhancement Center. Tickets are free. Register at http://pubcampms2011.eventbrite.com.
