Watson Graduates with Medical Technology Degree from Southern Miss

Jamena Watson, a University of Southern Mississippi senior from Grenada, Miss., graduated with a bachelor's degree in medical technology Dec. 10 during commencement exercises on the university's Hattiesburg campus. She was also honored that day at the department's annual certificate ceremony.
At Southern Miss, Watson was a member of ASCLS-MS, Beta Beta Beta National Honor Society, was a member and secretary for the Medical Technology Club; and a member of Alpha Alpha Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is the daughter of James Watson and Barbara Crump.
The Department of Medical Technology is part of the College of Health. Graduates of the medical technology program may choose to pursue a variety of careers within their field that include infection control coordinators, lab information computer analysts, administrative technologists, researchers and more.
