Hattiesburg Library to Host War and Society Book Discussion Oct. 9

The Center for the Study of War and Society at The University of Southern Mississippi, in partnership with the Hattiesburg Public Library will host its fall War & Society Roundtable: Books Dialogue and Debate Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Hattiesburg Public Library.
“Avengers of the New World: The Story of the Haitian Revolution” by Laurent DuBois will be discussed. Matt Casey, assistant professor of history at Southern Miss, will moderate the discussion. Several copies of the book are available for loan at the library prior to the event.
