Industrial Audiometry Certification Course To Be Held at Southern Miss

The University of Southern Mississippi's Office of Professional Development and Educational Outreach will sponsor the Industrial Audiometry and Hearing Conservation Certification course August 6-8 on the Hattiesburg campus.

The certification course will be held on the August 6-7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and August 8 from 8 a.m. to noon. Recertification portion of the course will be held on August 7.

The program is designed for safety directors and engineers, human resource and training directors, industrial nurses and other personnel responsible for initiating and overseeing programsin compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) noise and hearing loss regulations. Participants will learn how to test hearing and establish hearing conservation programs in the workplace. The program is approved by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.

The fees are $625 for those seeking certification and $350 for recertification. Fees include materials and (CAOHC) certification fees. There is a $25 late fee for registrations received after July 27.
