Institute for Disability Studies to Hold Fair Housing Workshop in Leland

The University of Southern Mississippi Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) will hold a fair housing workshop on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. at the South Delta Regional Housing Authority at 202 Weston Ave. in Leland, Miss.

The two-and-a-half hour workshop will focus on fair housing, housing discrimination, the housing rights of individuals, how to file a housing complaint and other fair housing information. Light refreshments will be provided. Workshop materials are available in alternate formats on request.

The workshop is presented by IDS' HousingSmart project, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which works to ensure equal opportunities in housing and to increase homeownership for Mississippians with disabilities.
