The Kappa Theta chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international history honor society, at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast will host a book talk featuring Dr. Andrew Wiest, professor and director of International Studies at Southern Miss, as he discusses his latest publication, “The Boys of '67: Charlie Company's War in Vietnam.”

The book talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. in room 105 of the Fleming Education Center on the university's Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. “The Boys of '67,” published by Osprey Publishing, recollects the U.S. soldiers' journey from the draft to the battlefields of South Vietnam.

The publisher describes this book as “the unvarnished truth from the fear of death, the chaos of battle, the horrors of injury told through the recollections of the men themselves.”

Copies of “The Boys of ‘67” will be available for purchase. For more information, contact Dr. Douglas Bristol at 228.214.3247 or email douglas.bristolFREEMississippi.
