Dr. Heather Annulis, professor in The University of Southern Mississippi's Department of Human Capital Development, and her Performance Technology II class visited PamLab in Covington, La., during the fall semester to explore the implementation of various training and performance analyses and interventions designed to improve productivity and competence at the worker, work process or organizational levels.

Working with PamLab, the students learned to articulate performance behaviors. These included effective brainstorming, removing roadblocks, team development, and conflict resolution and management, which were demonstrated by successful district sales managers.

The students also offered examples of critical development experiences for each behavior. This collaboration is among a variety of opportunities in which students in the Department of Human Capital Development are able to develop through the transfer of research to practice.
