The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) at The University of Southern Mississippi is pleased to announce it is partnering with Athletic Business, a resource for athletics, fitness and recreation professionals, to launch Gameday Security™, the only magazine devoted exclusively to safety and security at athletic venues on the professional, collegiate and high school levels, along with municipal recreation facilities and open-access endurance events.

“The business of sports security is constantly evolving,” said Peter Brown, publisher of Athletic Business. “Now, more than ever, athletic facility managers, security leaders and event directors need a resource they can rely on to better help them protect their staff, participants, spectators and venues against emerging threats. We expect Gameday Security will be that resource.”

Gameday Security will start as a seasonal magazine beginning in 2015, and will be the official magazine of NCS4, an organization that supports the advancement of sports safety and security through training, professional development, academic programs and research.

In addition to the magazine launch, Gameday Security will also feature a new website and related e-communications, ensuring those tasked with protecting their athletic facilities or events receive the news, analysis and technology updates they need in a timely fashion.

“Gameday Security is going to be a game-changer in the world of sports security,” said NCS4 Director Lou Marciani. “We are very excited to partner with a well-respected and proven media leader like Athletic Business, utilizing their expertise to ensure we are delivering the information sports security managers need and in the fashion they need it.”
