Student Government Association Officers Elected at Gulf Park Campus

Elections were held during the spring semester at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus for the 2014 – 2015 Student Government Association (SGA).

SGA officers promote students' rights and responsibilities, address student concerns and encourage university pride. The Southern Miss Gulf Coast student body elected the following students as 2014 – 2015 SGA officers:

  • President Hayley Whitehead of Ocean Springs
  • Vice President McKenzie Irish of Biloxi
  • Attorney General Colleen Smith of Ocean Springs
  • Secretary Marla Cooper of Moss Point
  • Treasurer Crystal Stinson of Biloxi
  • College of Arts and Letters Representatives Melanie McLeod of Long Beach and Brenna Landis of Biloxi
  • College of Business Representatives Arielle Fischer of Vancleave and Catherine Chai of Ocean Springs
  • College of Education and Psychology Representatives Bethany Cuevas of Long Beach and Wanda Cleveland of Ocean Springs
  • College of Health Representative Nicole Miller of Biloxi
  • College of Nursing Representatives Alexandria Carter of Waveland and Mary May of Taylorsville, Miss.
  • College of Science and Technology Representatives Chris Griffin of Gulfport and Veturi Anantha Sai Phaneen of Andhra Pradesh, India
  • Graduate Representative Lauren Lassabe of Gulfport
