Half Shell Oyster House to Donate Percentage of Sales to Childrens Center

The week of Nov. 2-7 has been designated as “Children's Center Week” at the Half Shell Oyster House in Hattiesburg with a portion of proceeds benefitting The Children's Center for Communication and Development at The University of Southern Mississippi.

During Half Shell's Children's Center week, Half Shell will donate a percentage of sales from any appetizer or monthly special to The Children's Center. On Thursday, Nov. 5, Half Shell will host Children's Center Night and will donate a percentage of gross sales, from all food and drink, to The Children's Center.

Half Shell's General Manager Wayne McQueen, says The Children's Center events have been a great success for the restaurant and the Center. “My staff and I love supporting The Children's Center and their families, and we love serving our customers, especially Children's Center families, great food and drinks,” said McQueen.

The Children's Center at Southern Miss, a United Way agency, is a clinical program in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The Center provides transdisciplinary, early intervention services to children with disabilities, ages birth through five.

The Half Shell Oyster House is located in the Newpointe Shopping Center, 6555 U.S. 98 Hattiesburg.
