Memorial Service for Dr. Michael Salda set for Dec. 4 on Hattiesburg Campus

A memorial service for Dr. Michael Salda, professor of English at The University of Southern Mississippi, will be held Friday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. in Danforth Chapel on the Hattiesburg campus.
Salda, a member of the University's Department of English since 1991, died Oct. 16 in Hattiesburg. He was 57.
A native of Nebraska, Dr. Salda held bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago. An expert in Arthurian and Medieval literature, he published Arthurian Animation: A Study of Cartoon Camelots on Film and Television. He was known for his use of technology in the classroom, pioneering the use of podcasts and online classes.
