The College of Business at The University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Park campus hosted businessman Frank Wilem at the first Business Advisory Council (BAC) Lunch and Learn Speaker Series on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Wilem, a BAC member, is the founder and former executive vice president of Triton Systems, Inc., a $100 million company that became the nation's largest manufacturer of automatic teller machines. Today, the Gulfport resident, serves as CEO of The Wilem Group, an outdoors television production and distribution company. He is the co-host of Gulf South Outdoors, a saltwater fishing show based in Gulfport, Miss., and is the author of four books.

More than 50 Gulf Park students gathered to hear Wilem speak about his experiences in business and answer questions from the audience. At the end of the presentation, Wilem provided signed complimentary copies of his 2010 book, “The Keys,” to students and faculty in attendance.

The lunch series is designed for students, faculty, staff and BAC Coast members as a way for those members to interact with business students on the Gulf Park campus and share their experiences in business. The Oct. 29 event was sponsored by Joe Boardman
