Registration Deadline Dec. 10 for Saturday Gifted Studies Program

The application deadline is near for the Saturday Gifted Studies Program, conducted by the Frances A. Karnes Center for Gifted Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi. Students who have not submitted an application by Saturday, Dec. 10 will not be able to participate in the program.
The Saturday Gifted Studies Program will be conducted Jan. 21- Feb. 18, 2017 at the Southern Miss Hattiesburg campus. It is designed to enhance cognitive and affective abilities of gifted students through planned enrichment and accelerated programming. The courses are scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon on each of the five consecutive Saturdays. Courses will be offered for the following age groups: Pre-K (3 and 4 year olds), kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades, and sixth through eighth grades.
