The work of the Mississippi Early Childhood Inclusion Center (MECIC) at The University of Southern Mississippi Institute for Disability Studies will be featured in a live, one-hour Inclusive Classroom Profile webinar on Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. CDT.

In the webinar, Dr. Alicia Westbrook and Dr. Leslie LaVergne of MECIC, will provide an introduction to the Inclusive Classroom Profile observation tool that assesses inclusive practices in early childhood classrooms.

They will explain how MECIC, a statewide training and technical assistance program, is using the assessment to improve the quality of inclusion in Mississippi's childcare centers and preschools. Successes and challenges will also be presented with a question and answer period at the end of the webinar.
