Dr. Gordon Campbell, an internationally recognized expert on the works of English poet John Milton (author of Paradise Lost), Renaissance literature, and the King James Version of the Bible, will be a guest speaker on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus Oct. 10 for the program “Milton for Mississippi.”

MATL Program to Mark 25th Anniversary at Oct. 12 Reception
A celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Master of Arts in the Teaching of Languages program (MATL) at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) will be held Friday, Oct. 12 from 6-9 p.m. at the Thad Cochran Center, ballrooms 1 and 2, on the Hattiesburg campus.
The University of Southern Mississippi will kick off its symphonic season Tuesday, Oct. 9 with a Symphonic Winds and Concert Band concert at 7:30 p.m. in Bennett Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus.
