Careers on the Coast Job Fair to be Held at Southern Miss Gulf Park

More than 40 employers will be represented at the 2018 “Careers on the Coast” Networking and Job Fair on Tuesday, March 6, at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. 

Hosted by Career Services, “Careers on the Coast” provides USM students and alumni the opportunity to network with professionals and prospective employers from industries across South Mississippi.

Employers will be on hand to offer information on a variety of full-time, part-time and internship positions, as well as volunteer and community service opportunities with select organizations. The event will be held from 4–7 p.m. in the Gulf Coast Library on the USM Gulf Park campus.

“Students can expect to see employers from a wide range of industries and fields who will be excited to meet and talk with the students. This is a great time to practice developing confidence in creating a network of contacts for future pursuit,” said Jona Burton, assistant director of Career Services for the Gulf Park campus.

During the job fair, students will have the ability to give their “60-second elevator pitch” and make positive first impressions while speaking and interacting with potential employers.

The event is open to all current USM students and alumni. Business attire is required.
