National Online Guide Ranks USM Among Top-50 Business Schools

The University of Southern Mississippi's College of Business and Economic Development has earned a Top-50 ranking for “Best Online Business Schools” by online resource guide SuccessfulStudent.org. USM, slotted at No. 36, is the only Mississippi school ranked on the list.
SuccessfulStudent.org selected the business schools based on academic excellence, types of courses offered, faculty strength, awards, rankings, reputation, and the range of online business degree programs. To be eligible, business schools need to offer at least three online degrees.
Dr. Faye Gilbert, Dean of the College of Business and Economic Development at USM, commended the college's faculty for investing their time to provide key degrees online and to ensure that a quality program is provided.
“The ranking within the top 50 in the country based on the criteria of academic excellence, types of courses offered, faculty strength, awards, rankings, reputation, and the range of online business degree programs certainly reinforces the distinctive quality provided at the University of Southern Mississippi,” said Gilbert. “Our students are offered one of the finest programs in business in the country and for that, I applaud our faculty.”
As outlined by SuccessfulStudent.org, online business students can select from an array of online graduate business degree programs such as business analytics, global finance, business administration, management information systems, healthcare management, global supply chain management, sports administration, information technology and management, marketing, strategic management, and more.
Students attending an online business school can choose from a variety of online undergraduate business programs such as management, accounting, business administration, management information systems, healthcare administration, marketing, human resource management, and more.
