The annual DuBard School Speakeasy is set for Oct. 4.

It's Speakeasy time! Time to get all dolled up in your dapper threads for the 6th Annual DuBard School Speakeasy on Thursday, Oct. 4. This 1920's themed event is a “friend-raiser” for the DuBard School for Language Disorders, a United Way agency at The University of Southern Mississippi.

This prohibition-era affair will feature live jivin' jazz performed by faculty and students of the Southern Miss Jazz Band with a large dance floor for kicking up your heels led by USA Dance Hattiesburg-Laurel Chapter. The Speakeasy will also include 1920's inspired heavy hors d'oeuvres, themed cocktails and a photo booth for capturing a night you won't soon forget.

Tickets will need to be purchased in advance so guests can learn the various requirements needed for entry – such as the “secret” password and specific directions to get to the hidden juice joint. The event will be held at the Thad Cochran Center at The University of Southern Mississippi on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Cocktail attire requested, 1920's dress recommended, dancing shoes highly encouraged. All are invited to attend. Tickets are all-inclusive for only $35 each through Friday, Sept. 21 and then increase to $45 each.

Special thanks to the Big Cheese Sponsor, Mississippi Power, and the Town Hall Sponsor, Keesler Federal Credit Union. Additional thanks to Forrest General Hospital, Michael and Jacque Longmeier, Southern Miss Event Services, Lee Way Financial, Dr. and Mrs. David Richardson, Bourne Brothers Printing, Lenny's, Southern Miss Catering, and Shann Nichols – Branding Solutions for their support!
