Legendary Journalist and War Correspondent Dan Rather to Deliver 2019 Dale Distinguished Lecture

The Dale Center for the Study of War & Society at the University of Southern Mississippi is pleased to announce that legendary journalist and war correspondent Dan Rather will deliver the 2019 Lt. Col. John H. Dale Distinguished Lecture in International Security and Global Policy on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at 7 p.m.

The event will be held at the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown Hattiesburg and is free and open to the public.

USM Trumpet Ensemble Advances to National Competition

The University of Southern Mississippi Advanced Trumpet Ensemble, along with Master of Music student Dayvison Costa, will compete in the Live Rounds at the National Trumpet Competition, to be held at The University of Kentucky next month.

The University of Southern Mississippi's Small Business Development Center will be sponsoring a workshop titled, “Think Like an Entrepreneur” from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Trent Lott Center (2nd Floor, Room 207) on the Hattiesburg campus.
