Today's message includes news releases about a USM nursing student earning the Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses of Mississippi Undergraduate Scholarship and 21 students graduating from the DuBard School for Language Disorders and returning to their local school districts.

USM Nursing Student Wins 2019 Eliza Pillars Scholarship

Tyunna Odom, a junior nursing major at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), has been awarded the Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses of Mississippi Undergraduate Scholarship.

The Eliza Pillars organization has been awarding the Undergraduate Scholarship to nursing students in the State of Mississippi since 1986. Only one student in the state is chosen to receive the scholarship.

DuBard School Students Advance to Local School Districts

Twenty-three students from the DuBard School for Language Disorders at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) are returning to their local school districts next year. The advancing students were recognized at a special awards celebration held at USM.
