Southern Miss Alumni Association Announces Date for Homecoming 2019

The University of Southern Mississippi Alumni Association is pleased to announce Homecoming 2019 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12, when the Golden Eagle football team battles the University of North Texas at M. M. Roberts Stadium. A week of activities will be hosted across all areas of campus beginning as early as Monday, Oct. 7. Trademark alumni events include the 21st Annual Southern Miss Alumni Homecoming Scholarship Golf Tournament and the prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame Banquet.

USM Wind Ensemble Features Concerto Competition Winners

The University of Southern Mississippi Wind Ensemble presents its Concerto Concert on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center on the Hattiesburg campus. This event is free and is open to the public. The winners from the concerto competition that was held in the 2018 Fall semester have earned an opportunity to perform with the prestigious Wind Ensemble for this performance.

The de Grummond Children's Literature Collection is one of North America's leading research centers in the field of children's literature. The Collection holds the original manuscripts and illustrations of more than 1,300 authors and illustrators, as well as 180,000+ published books dating from 1530 to the present.
