Hub Dance Collective Fall ConcertAs a means of kicking off the Fall 2019 semester, the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Performing and Visual Arts will hold its annual Hub Dance Collective Fall Concert on Sept. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. in the Theatre and Dance Building, studio 115 on the Hattiesburg campus. The event is presented in part by the generous support of Partners for the Arts.

This year, the Hub Dance Collective presents Re-Connect, an event featuring performances and choreography by the USM dance faculty. Re-Connect will include a series of modern dances, along with a debut performance of newest USM dance faculty member Katherine G. Moore.

“This concert looks at how we connect to one another through relationships, environments, and emotional journeys,” said Professor Kelly Ferris Lester. “We value the inspiration, challenges, and creativity that come in a collaborative process, recognizing that in such cooperation each of our individual artistry is fed.”

Hub Dance Collective is comprised of dance faculty members from the University of Southern Mississippi and focuses on the collaborative nature of modern dance. Independently, the works have been presented in New York City, Chicago, New Orleans, New Zealand, Wales, and South Africa.

Price of admission is $6 for students; $10 for faculty, staff, military, and seniors; and $15 for the general public. Tickets will be available at the door.
