The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Repertory Dance Company presents its second Spring Dance Concert on April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. in the Theatre and Dance Building, in studio 115 on the Hattiesburg campus.

The Spring Dance Concert is part two of the dance concerts from the 2019 spring semester and features new works choreographed by USM Dance Program students and faculty.

This concert further continues to push the envelope by exploring the different genres and experiences than even the first dance concert.

Be Longing, explores the nature of desire as a positive force in the world and an invitation to open the heart,” says dance faculty member Candice Salyers.

"This was a very challenging process since this movement style is so different,” said junior dance major A'Miracle Fagan. “I wanted to make a dance that was strong and brought out my dancers' inner confidence, representing high self-esteem."

The USM Repertory Dance Company was established to provide performing opportunities for dance majors and to promote excellence in dance performance for our students. As company members, students gain insight into the protocol and standards of professional dance as they prepare for careers.

Price of admission is $15 for the general public; $10 for faculty, staff, seniors, and military; and $6 for students. Tickets are available at the door.
