Sign up Now for Special USM Camp to Benefit Wheelchair Users

Applications are being sought for the inaugural Hackability.camp set for July 7-11 at The University of Southern Mississippi. The camp will offer an interactive week of training sessions designed for wheelchair users in high school who are interested in technology.

The residential camp on USM’s Hattiesburg campus, will provide opportunities to learn more about coding, designing, and working with computers in general. In addition, participants can find out what college majors and careers best suit wheelchair enhanced mobility.

Camp sessions include:

  • How to get more out of your computer
  • Hacking your wheelchair
  • Create your own webpage
  • Robotics
  • Computer Aided Design for 2D creations
  • Computer Aided Design for 3D creations
  • Living Independently
  • College and careers
