The University of Southern Mississippi's international business program has been ranked among the nation's Top-50 in a recent surveyed published by online resource guide Study.com.

USM's program occupies the No. 26 spot in Study.com's Best 50 International Business Schools list for 2019.

“I knew we were something special from the feedback of our business partners, government entities and alumni. It's humbling to know we have something to hang our hat on,” said USM international business Associate Professor Dr. John Lambert. “This success happens because of the efforts of all of our faculty at the College of Business and Economic Development who share the task of building lives.”

Students who choose to enroll in USM's program can earn a BSBA degree in international business. The program is designed to help students not only build their business and cross-cultural skills and also develop skills in a foreign language.

International business majors are expected to collaborate with a business agency and to study abroad during their senior year, and the University of Southern Mississippi has established study abroad programs with the UK, Japan, and Korea (but it's possible to study in other countries if your business interests lie in the Middle East or South America, for example).

In its appraisal of USM's program. Study.com noted that the University was selected based on academic and career resources for international business students, the quality of education in international business, faculty, and more.
