Virtual 2020 Fay B. Kaigler Children’s Book Festival The School of Library and Information Sciences at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) will present the 2020 Fay B. Kaigler Children’s Book Festival (CBF) Virtual Lectures Nov. 16-20. These lectures are free with registration; space is limited.

The 2020 CBF was originally scheduled for April, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For our friends, fans, and Kaigler Book Festival family, I’m so overjoyed to be able to share this stellar slate of virtual events with you today,” said Karen Rowell, director of the CBF. “Though we wish we could be together in person this year, this virtual line-up is beyond compare.”

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to Mississippi educators. An online form to request CEU credits is forthcoming. Rowell noted that because many educators rely on the festival for their CEUs, “we felt the need to supplement the missed sessions from April.”
